If ever my Mama Bear Instincts have been evoked, it is now for our children imprisoned at the border. I want to soothe the anguished cries and offer comfort and care until the panicked breathing settles, the tears subside, the light in the children’s eyes comes back alive and their precious spirits come out of hiding. I want to protect the little ones from any more harm. And take down the walls that are holding them hostage. And open wide the doorways for their parents to come in and reunite. I want the families to feel at home in the lands where they choose to live. I want to dismantle the systems and untangle the lies that keep violence and trauma in perpetual motion, circulating around our planet, generation after generation.
Here is guidance from a Bone Throwing Ceremony about how we can make effective and enduring change.
